The decor is simply stunning and the little pub vibe is so cozy! I did find the shower was a bit finicky. All in all, a lovely stay!

large room, beautiful decor, excellent equipment
The small town offers limited attractions. expect to travel to nearby ones like Drymen!!! while parking is usually available, it's frustrating that you have to rely on street parking in a quaint area!!!

The pasta was a delightful surprise, pulling on my heartstrings and taste buds! The staff were super friendly, making the place feel like home. Plus, the breakfast? An absolute must-have to fuel your day!
I had a bit of a bother with the hot shower situation. seems the boiler was acting up. a touch of mould on the skylight wasn’t too pretty.

Couples seeking good food should visit
We had a lovely meal, beyond what we expected, and the service was incredible. The staff, even the locals, treated us like family, couldn't do enough for us and that really made it special.
It wasn't exactly bargain basement but worth it in the end.

I really enjoyed staying at the Black Bull Gartmore. The king room exceeded my expectations in size and comfort. The bed was huge, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. The bathroom was another highlight, with a fantastic shower that was refreshing. I appreciated the friendly and helpful service throughout. Breakfast was enjoyable, offering good options to start the day. there were a few hiccups. Check-in was delayed until 4 pm, which felt a bit late. One staff member at the bar seemed to prioritize locals over me, and that didn’t leave the best impression. I also had issues with my breakfast arrangement after being told we had to eat in the restaurant, while others were allowed in the bar at different times. The towels provided were smaller than ideal. larger bath sheets would have been better. For my husband’s birthday, I requested a bottle of Prosecco in our room as a surprise, but it never arrived. Despite these setbacks, I found the overall experience to be quite enjoyable, especially the food, which was tasty and cooked well, especially the steak and ale pie. I definitely recommend this place for its charm and good food, but they could improve on communication and customer service.
